Huawei Women in Tech Incubation Bootcamp

On 20 January 2024, BetterStories Chief Storyteller Minhaz Anwar joined the Huawei Women in Tech Incubation Camp as a mentor for participants, where he provided an intensive learning experience, shared crucial knowledge and business insights, and offered the ‘know-how’ on ideation, startup operations and examples from real situations to female participants in the bootcamp. Powered by Huawei in association with UNESCO as a strategic partner, the incubation camp set a 4-day bootcamp where experts from Huawei, Innovation Design and Entrepreneurship Academy (IDEA), Startup Bangladesh, BetterStories, UNESCO, Prothom Alo, startup founders and senior leaders from the startup ecosystem mentored participants and enhanced their skill sets.

The Women in Tech Incubation Camp is a 3-month long journey for female founders who are interested in developing their entrepreneurial skills for the ICT sector. Women in Tech is a program dedicated to create opportunities for women in STEM in order to build a more inclusive and diverse society. Winners receive grants, along with a chance to visit Huawei HQ in China. They also receive technical support from Huawei and networking opportunities with policy makers and investors.
